A DEAn From The University of Calabar Accuse of Molesting a 20 Year Old Law Student.
A mother has accused the Dean, Faculty of Law, University of Calabar, Prof. Cyril Ndifon, of sexually assaulting her daughter, a 20-year-old 400-level law student (name withheld).The woman (names withheld), who lives in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, said the incident happened between 3 and 5pm on August 29 at the dean’s private office in the faculty building, Narrating what happened, the woman said on that day, the dean had set a one-hour test for the students and assigned two lecturers to supervise. 20 minutes to the end of the allotted time, Ndifon entered the hall and ordered the students to stop writing.According to her, while the students were getting ready to submit their papers, the dean walked to her daughter’s desk, collected her script and tore it into shreds.The girl reportedly picked up the pieces and put in her bag and as she was leaving, the dean accosted her again and asked if she still had the shredded script. He then told her to follow him to the general dean’s office to recopy the answers on another plane sheet, which she did. He later asked her to follow him to his private office on the second floor so that she could comfortably use the table. Not long after they got to his private office, he allegedly locked the door and started making advances at the girl.The woman alleged that Ndifon subdued her daughter and forcefully had s*x with her.She explained that afterwards, her daughter was taken to the Airport police station along IBB Way in Calabar, where she gave statement and also had medical examinations at the police clinic.The victim was said to have written a complaint to the school authority and they have confirmed receipt of it. However, a lawyer in the school, Innocent Ovat said there was a slight contradiction in the letter the victim sent to the school.The victim’s letter titled, ‘Report of s*xual assault and harassment by Prof. Cyril Ndifon on me’, read: “He removed his clothes and brought out a condom from his office shelf, wore it and penetrated forcefully and painfully. We heard a knock on the door, he picked his clothes and quickly wore them and acted like everything was normal and then he proceeded to open the door. He left me there and went downstairs with the person that knocked.”Ovat wondered why the girl did raise an alarm when there was a knock on the door and when it was opened. The public relations officer of the university, Effiong Eyo, said the institution was seriously looking into the matter. The state police public relations officer, Hogan Bassey, said the matter was being investigated. In August, a part-time lecturer of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Afeez Baruwa, was arrested for allegedly defiling an 18-year old girl in Yaba. The school had however, disowned the lecturer, saying he was not on the university’s employee list whether teaching or non-teaching.

The Nigerian Army said Tuesday it usually find condoms, hard drugs and sex-enhancing drugs in camps captured from Boko Haram insurgents by its troops.
The spokesperson for the Army, Sani Usman, said the findings underlined the military’s belief that most Boko Haram militants were not grounded in Islam and were not driven by Islamic ideology.
Mr. Usman, a colonel, said a lot of insurgents so far arrested could not even recite the Quoran, the holy book of Muslims.
He said those arrested by troops of Nigerian Army’s 3rd Division Tuesday turned out to be suppliers of hard drugs and other stimulants to terrorists.
They were nabbed between Depchi and Geidam, Geidam Local Government Area in northern part of Yobe State, he said.
Mr. Usman added, “The arrested persons were also engaged in the supply of fuel in addition to hard drugs such as Cannabis (Indian Hemp), Chlorofone substance (AKA Madaran suck and die) and Tramol, amongst others.
“You will recall that sometimes ago we reported that ironically most of the Boko Haram terrorists captured by Nigerian military cannot read the Holy Qur’an, some of them cannot even recite the first chapter- Suratuh Al-Fatiha and yet they claimed they wanted to establish an ‘Islamic State’.
“When the Nigerian military captured their bases and training camps, they never found Qur’an or other Islamic books, what were mostly found were ammunition, local charms, condoms and all sort of drugs including sex enhancing ones in their enclaves.
“The arrest of these drug suppliers has reinforced that fact, more so as they have been making very useful statements.”

Kcee has expressed disappointment that his brother and chairman of Five Star Music, E-Money is being dragged into the Skiibii death scandal.Speaking on Wazobia FM, Kcee said
“I’m disappointed with people on social media who said that my brother, E Money, used Skiibii for money rituals. What gets me even angrier is that now that he did not die, they are saying his head was too strong for the juju and that is why immediately I came into the country I decided to use this medium to clarify issues.”
“I was on tour with my producer, Soso Soberekon in Norway when the purported rumour of Skiibii’s death broke. Somebody called Soso to confirm the news and Soso called his boy who confirmed that Skiibii collapsed and was rushed to the hospital but he did not know what exactly was happening but it’s like Skiibii was dead and so he told the caller that skiibii was actually dead.
“I later got in touch with my brother, E-Money, who said he had instructed that Skiibii be transferred to another hospital immediately. So the whole issue was misconstrued because of Soso and he has been placed on suspension by the management.”
Commenting, Skiibii said that he was hale and hearty. His words:
“I’m alive and healthy. This is not the first time this is happening to me. It’s like a blackout which occurs anytime I’m over excited. It’s happened two times and the last time was when I was on a plane with another label mate. I thank God I’m okay.”

How did you meet your spouse?
Juliet: I met my husband at a video shoot by Julius Agwu, in 2003. I was at the shoot to support Agwu as a long-time friend of his. Prior to meeting my husband, I was already friends with his brother, Kcee.
Was your first impression of him favourable?
Juliet: He bore a striking resemblance to Kcee, so I imagined they were twins. I liked him when we met for the first time and we started out as friends. We dated for four years and decided to get married afterwards. He was very mature for his age and had a kind heart. He was very reserved, welcoming and spoke affectionately about his family.
E-Money: When we met, I was a young man who was struggling to make ends meet and she was equally very young. She was in her sophomore year at the university. Because she was my first girlfriend and the first woman I ever loved, I remained faithful to her. I was looking for a God-fearing lady who wasn’t excessively concerned with material possessions and who I could plan a future with. Fortunately, I found those qualities in her. Even though I lived in Ajegunle, with my brothers at that time, she visited me on several occasions. I remember that on one of those occasions, she fell into a gutter in a flooded street.
Why did it take you so long to propose to her?
E-Money: I was only waiting for the right time to ask her to marry me but I knew where the relationship was headed from the outset. I had met other ladies in the past, but they all lacked the qualities I mentioned earlier.
How did you propose to her?
E-Money: I presented her with a car as an engagement gift.
Why did you accept his proposal?
Juliet: My family and I were on the verge of relocating to the United Kingdom, but I was happy that I was already in a relationship with him. I felt it was a good reason to always visit Nigeria given that I had fallen in love with him and his personality. On one occasion, I was cash-strapped and he willingly parted with the last N1,000 he had on him. I was completely taken aback by that act of generosity.
Did you think he would become this wealthy?
Juliet: When we started dating, my friends were surprised that I sidestepped all the rich guys in Lekki, where I was resident for a man who lived in Ajegunle but I was not bothered. I looked forward to getting a good job upon my graduation from the university. He didn’t even have enough money to take us back to Lagos after our traditional marriage.
E-Money: Kcee was the one who lent me N20, 000. I used it to pay our fare to Lagos.
At what point did you begin to experience a turnaround in your finances?
E-Money: We were on our way to Lagos when I received a phone call informing me that I had been awarded a $2m contract and that is how our lives changed forever.
Did you face any challenges owing to the differences in your backgrounds?
Juliet: My parents were already deceased when we met but other members of my family blessed our union.
You do not live in Nigeria…
Juliet: I’m a British citizen and I love the environment over there. I like the quality of education which is good for my children. I tried to settle in Nigeria but I could not fit in. When I am away, my husband and I have unhindered communication. It is so good that we do not really feel any vacuum.
He visits us every two weeks and he’s actively involved in the lives of our children. We are okay this way.
How do you handle disagreements?
E-Money: We don’t invite anybody to act as a go-between; we manage to resolve disagreements ourselves. I won’t say we are saints or angels but we hardly ever quarrel. I may want to be by myself whenever we disagree, but she won’t allow it. We always find a way to resolve our differences amicably.
Juliet: A lot of people don’t know that my husband is a closet comedian; he always finds a way to cheer me up when we disagree. I owe the success of my marriage to Kcee; he understands me so well. Although we hardly invite a third party to intervene when there are issues, but I invite Kcee sometimes.
What would you want to change about your spouse?
E-Money: I don’t want to change anything about her; I love her just the way she is.
How do cope with advances from the opposite sex?
Juliet: We laugh about it and sometimes, I tease him about his female admirers. If anyone gets a bit out of hand, I step in and put them in their place. We operate an open-door policy.
Do you have access to each other’s social media accounts?
E-Money: Yes, we do but we don’t have any reason to go over each other’s account. She controls our social media accounts.
Do you both run a joint account?
Juliet: We do and I was the one who initiated it. My husband doesn’t like to carry cash so, I control and manage our finances. I am very involved; I know who he works for, his clients and other details of his business.
Can you keep secrets from each other?
Juliet: No, I don’t and if it is something that would affect him, I make sure I go about it in a diplomatic manner.
E-Money: I don’t keep secrets from her because I don’t have any reason to do so.
Describe your marriage?
Juliet: Our marriage is built on the fear of God and founded on love. We are friends to ourselves, children and staff. He has a heart of gold even though some people like to take advantage of him. There is nothing I have asked for that he has not provided. Sometimes, he makes things available even before I ask.
E-Money: Juliet is God’s gift to me.
STUDENT ARRESTED FOR BAKING CAKE WITH "IGBOO"
According to reports, the Police in
Delta State arrested the undergrad for allegedly giving a female student cake laced with Indian hemp.
In a statement issued by Police spokesperson, DSP Celestina Kalu on Friday in Asaba, Aniekan ran into trouble after victim started behaving abnormally and was admitted in a hospital for treatment.
Kalu said further that a male student from the University reported to the police in Abraka on September 2, 2015 that Aniekan, a student of the university gave the cake to the female student, aged 17.
She said that during interrogation, Ba$$ey confessed that he added Indian hemp to the ingredients used in baking the cake.
“The suspect admitted to have used Indian hemp to bake the cake which he gave the victim; we are still investigating the matter,” Kalu said.

30 women in Lagos were today Monday September 7th sentenced to six weeks imprisonment for pros-titution by an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court for pros-titution, NAN reports.Those sentenced are Funmi Olayemi, Damilola Ibrahim, Blessing Emmanuel, Grace Nwaokoro, Anu Titus, Princess Osu, Cynthian Ozumba, and Chindima Eke, Blessing Winwah, Rebecca James, Gift James, Bukola Taiwo, Patience Amos, Oyinda Adesewa, Funmilayo Ajayi, Modinat Bello,Damilola Abiodun, Saki Godwin, Glory Edet, Blessing Okafor, Tope Obatula, Shade Afolabi, Foluke Kolawole, Tosin Ajayi, Bisi Onanuga, Princess Isaac, Esther Akpan, Cythia Osas, Joy Osas and Patricia whose surname was not named, among others.
The accused, whose ages and addresses were not given, pleaded guilty on Monday during their arraignment and were thereby sentenced by Mrs. Odusanya, the Magistrate to six weeks each with an option of 10,000 fine each.The prosecutor, Inspector Femi Alabi told the court that the accused committed the offense on September 5 at Obalande area of Lagos. According to him, the accused paraded themselves as public nuisance. “The accused were caught soliciting for clients which is against the law of the state.” he said. The offense contravened Sections 142 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State,

Diamond platnumz heads to Lagos for mtv road to mama event
Tanzanian music star, Diamond Platnumz is en route to Nigeria from his country for the MTV Road To MAMA event sponsored by Coca Cola which is billed to take place in Lagos this week.
Road to MAMA Lagos, an off-the-hook club night and celebration of Africa’s musical evolution, will take place on Friday 3 July at The Marquee, Federal Palace Hotel, 6-8 Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos. Headlining the gig are Song of the Year and Best Hip Hop nominee Olamide, Yemi Alade (nominated for Best Female and Song of the Year), Phyno (Best Hip Hop), Lil Kesh (Song of the Year), and Iyanya (Best Collaboration). As an added treat, Tanzanian artist Diamond Platnuzm will be showing off the moves that earned him three nominations (Best Male, Best Live & Best Collaboration).
